Next time in Dubai, give camel milk a try and to do so, head straight to The Majlis Cafe near the beautiful Jumeirah Mosque. They serve amazing pistachio ice-cream made from camel milk. Well, that’s not all—they even have camel milk shakes, camel milk coffees and camel milk cheeses and creams!

Al Mamzar Beach Park

If you are travelling with children, then a perfect little spot for them will be the Al Mamzar Beach Park. This white beach with air-conditioned chalets on rent is in Deira. You could also choose to dive into the pool here. And that’s not the end of it—there are picnic spots with barbeques, bicycle rentals, restaurants, snack bars and a skating arena as well.

Al Serkal Avenue

In Al Quoz there’s an industrial warehouse site that now houses what is possibly Dubai’s coolest art and culture scene. This is the Al Serkal Avenue. There are art galleries worth touring, coffee shops to sit in and watch the world go by, and much more. You can even take part in art classes, exhibitions and workshops.

The Coffee Museum

Take a break from the malls and souks, and visit The Coffee Museum in Al Fahidi Historical District. This unique café-cum-shop-cum-cultural experience will leave you astounded. You can pick up antiques, Barista equipment, and books on the history of coffee as well as recipes for roasting coffee beans. So much coffee culture, all in one place!

XVA Art Hotel

XVA Hotel Dubai

Tucked away in the Al Fahidi district, is the XVA Art Hotel. One may argue that there are innumerable hotels in Dubai, each better than the other, but this one is special because it has only 14 rooms that have been individually and thoughtfully designed. This former residence even houses a fabulous XVA Cafe, which, interestingly, only serves Middle Eastern vegetarian fare. But, what may excite you most, especially if you are art lover is—the gallery and the design shop! Lastly, go to the starry rooftop and you’ll discover exactly what solace means.

Do spare some time for these charming offbeat places on your Dubai itinerary—we promise you won’t be disappointed.
