The festivities of Onam open up with the colourful tiger dance. Men dressed as tigers, dance on the roads of Thrissur to the beat of traditional instruments, mostly drums, to celebrate Onam. The opulence and extravagance of this staged traditional presentation of folk art, drama and music is a feast for the eyes and also the camera.

The Ziro Music Festival is the biggest outdoor music festival of India. Held every year in Ziro valley, a pristine of Arunachal Pradesh, this festival draws in some very impressive names in music. There are four races in this event that are held in Leh, Khardungla village, and Choglamsar village. Ganesh Chaturthi is a 10-day long festival that offers prayers to Lord Ganesha. The festival is celebrated with pomp and show all over India, however, the true spirit of this festival is best enjoyed in Mumbai. There is a pandal in every nook and corner of the city. Dance, music and cultural shows are seen commonly on the streets and in city grounds. You could also witness some very unique experiences like a pandal that is 121 years old or a Ganesha statue that is 20+ feet tall. The last day of the visarjan is a major attraction and a field day for all travellers and photographers.
