Chennai Floods: Here's How We Did Our Bit

The recent floods in Chennai have wreaked havoc on the city, but have brought people together in unexpected ways. Along with the many volunteers who’ve braved the rains to bring relief to the stranded, MakeMyTrip too decided to help out.

Capt. Hamendra Sharma and Shobi Khan took the gargantuan task of going to Chennai to distribute the supplies. Dry food, medicines, chocolates and essentials like water purification tablets were arranged for and packed. A quick flight to Bengaluru with all the essentials and then a rather interesting road trip to Chennai ensued. It was a ride of faith and passion for service which kept the spirits high. The visuals of devastation around only strengthened their resolve to make a difference further.

Kudos to the on-ground rescue team (Capt. Hamendra, Shobi Khan, S. Subramanian, Abhishek Damani, P Prakashan, Kuldeep Kamath and TN Ganesh) for their hard work and effort. Here are some snapshots of their journey:
