Remember that unforgettable scene from DDLJ when Simran runs through yellow mustard fields and embraces her one true love Raj? No matter how many times you see that scene, you still can’t get enough of it, can you? And if you’re a hardcore Bollywood buff like me, maybe you have always imagined yourself dancing in the rain to Pyaar Hua, Ikraar Hua with an umbrella in hand! Well, the good news is that we are giving all the information you need to recreate those romantic moments with your partner this Valentine’s Day!

1. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ)

No other Bollywood movie could have topped this list other than the iconic DDLJ.

Iconic Moment: ‘Mai aapse ek baat aur khena chahata tha…’and yet again he tricks her by splashing water through the flower he brought to apologize!

How to Recreate It: Take a trip to Interlaken, Switzerland - walk the beautifully cobbled streets, shop for souvenirs and click a picture at the same spot to celebrate your love.

2. Jab We Met

Iconic Moment:Yeh ishq haaye…’ The song that Geet (Kareena Kapoor) sings expressing what it feels like to be in love!

How to Recreate It: Spend a weekend in Manali where most of the song was shot. You don’t have to sing and dance in the cold but a romantic sojourn in the hills with your loved one doesn’t seem like a bad idea, does it?

3. Anjaana Anjaani

Iconic Moment: ‘Man, thoda soft-lighting ho sakta hai? You are killing the mood!’ And yes, that’s how Akash (Ranbir Kapoor) proposes to his lady love Kiara (Priyanka Chopra), in the ice-cold waters of Brooklyn Bridge, New York.

How to Recreate It: Ok, you don’t have to try such daring stunts, but taking a trip to New York and walking the Brooklyn Bridge, hand-in-hand, creating some memories, is worth a try!

4. Kaho Na…  Pyaar Hai

Iconic Moment: ‘Dill mera har bar ye sunne ko bekarar hai, Kaho na… Pyaar hai!’ The song that launched both Hrithik and Ameesha’s career was definitely the biggest hit of the early 2000s.

How to Recreate It: I assure you, unlike the lead pair, you guys won’t be alone (fortunately or unfortunately) on Krabi Island, where the song was shot. But don’t let that stop you from breaking into song!

5. Ye Jawaani Hai Deewani

Iconic Moment:Jitna bhi try karo, Bunny, life mein kuch na kuch toh chutega hi, toh jaha hai, wahi ka maza lete hai na…’ That’s how Naina (Deepika Padukone) teaches Bunny (Ranbir Kapoor) to actually live life to its fullest!

How to Recreate It: Take a trip to Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan (yes, that’s where the scene was shot, though it was shown as a part of Udaipur in the film), watch the sun slowly set and celebrate the beauty of being alive together.
