Nanded is popular as a Sikh pilgrimage destination because of Shri Hazur Sahib, housing one of the five Takhts known to be of supreme importance in Sikhism. It is the same place where Guru Govind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhs breathed his last. When visiting Shri Hazur Sahib, look for a large room decorated with his personal effects like a matchlock gun, golden dagger, quiver with 35 arrows, shield studded with precious stones, two bows and five golden swords.
Seek blessings at this holy plac and do not forget to relish the delicious “Guru ka Langar.” You can also enjoy a laser light show which takes place in the evenings at the premises.
In keeping with the cultural flavour of the city, next in the list is Nanded Fort! Walk back in time as you explore the ruins or opt for a stroll in the gardens to relax and rejuvenate. You can also soak in the views of the mighty Godavari surrounding the fort. Endowed with great views, the fort proves to be a popular attraction in Nanded for history lovers, photographers and architecture enthusiasts.
