As the New Year beckons right around the corner, it’s time to think about that age-old tradition: making resolutions. We seem to make resolutions that fall, broadly speaking, into two categories. There are those which sound good when you tell everyone else about it at the New Year party but which, we know, will miserably fail on execution (I’ll volunteer at the local charity, I’ll lose 10 kg in a month, I’ll find a cure for cancer and so on…) The second category is the one which is actually close to our heart, but we are scared of saying those resolutions out loud because we know that putting them in words will make them real living things; and we are not sure if we are ready for such a drastic change.

For me, travelling falls in that second bucket. So, this year, let’s make a resolution we will actually want to keep: Travel more. Because there are 196 countries in the world, waiting to be discovered.
