The first thing to remember when ordering vegetarian food in Thailand is that the Thais’ definition of “vegetarian” may be very different from yours. Any food without meat qualifies as vegetarian in Thailand, but it still includes dishes with eggs, meat broth, fish oil and the like. If pure vegetarian food is what you want, VEGAN is what you should be asking for. Only then you can rest assured that your meal is free of any animal products or even dairy. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, here are five restaurants where you can find amazing vegetarian food in Thailand.
The name can be misleading because Broccoli Revolution serves meat-free cuisines varying from Mediterranean and Italian to Latin American and of course, South Asian. Mainly a vegan restaurant, all their dishes incorporate the freshest ingredients and flavours. There’s also an organic cold-pressed juice bar at Broccoli Revolution, which donates part of their proceeds to charity.
