Why is Eating 3 parathas Such a Big Deal, where People Normally Eat 2 to 3 Parathas Daily for Breakfast?

Because these parathas are 18 inches across and weigh about 1.2 kg. One paratha is larger than a family-sized pizza. Forget three, finishing even one is a herculean task. Only two people have won the challenge so far.

How Long has this Dhaba Been Throwing Up This Challenge?

For the past 10 years! The challenge is open every day, where you would see three to four people trying their best to win. After all, the rewards are not just limited just to free lifetime meals. Winners also get prizes ranging from INR 5,100 in cash to INR 1 lakh life insurance. Most participants, however, usually give up after one or two parathas.

Not necessary. You can go there just to have the experience of eating ‘Hindustan ka Sabse Bada paratha’. These parathas come in about 50 varieties and range from INR 190 to INR 350 in price. One paratha is easily sufficient for a family of four!

The dhaba is situated on one of the busiest highways, and makes for the perfect brunch stopover en route a road trip out of Delhi.
