SURPRISE ME!
The list of countries offering visa on arrival for Indians has enabled us to tick many destinations off our bucket list. But, recently the Immigration Department of the Government of Hong Kong tightened its laws and has opted out of that long list. Indians who wish to explore the wonders of Hong Kong will have to apply for a pre-arrival registration, instead of obtaining a visa-on-arrival (apply here).
To define the registration process in detail, the Immigration Department of the Government of Hong Kong has launched a video.
Some important points:
Here’s where you can submit your PAR application!

Again, the author of this article has mentioned that VISA fees is HKD 190. I am not sure whether that is HKD or USD. In website, it is mentioned as USD symbol. For HKD, they have specifically used HKD notation.

Rate of success PAR registration is really low. I have been trying a lot since July 2018. I have a conference to attend at 27th August and I got to know couple of days back only, that once PAR registrations are rejected, even after multiple attempts, you can't get it successful. There is also no mention of why your PAR is rejected. There was news article back in September 2017, in The Telegraph (Kolkata Edition), that due to unsuccessful PAR registrations, people have to cancel their tickets, as VISA processing time is four weeks upon receipt of all documents. Plus, Indians can't submit the documents to Chinese Embassy. They have to do air mail to Immigration Department of HKSAR. I have less than two weeks now, and I will submit my VISA processing via FAX.
