Of all the good things in the world, there’s only one that can make you swoon, lift your spirits and make you feel like you own the world – chocolate! There’s such a huge fan following for chocolate that people hold festivals all over the world to celebrate this gooey goodie. If you haven’t already heard about the Festival du Chocolat in Switzerland – the home turf of chocolate, get all the sticky here and then let us tell you about another chocolate festival that’s going to curl your toes in ecstasy! London’s Chocolate Festival by Night is ‘the’ must do event for chocoholics the world over, Prepare to indulge on the festival dates from March 22 to 24

If you are wondering how many pounds it will add to your ‘personal growth’, shake off the guilt because chocolate will add more to your happiness quotient than the pounds. And you could always walk it off while visiting the top attractions in London! Still wondering why you should go? Here’s why!

Choc-a-bloc with Fun

The top reason – Now we all know there’s no such thing as too much chocolate. But people insist that’s the case here and the only way to find out is to go to the London festival and sample each and every kind of chocolate from participating chocolatiers like L’Artisan du Chocolat, Burley Fudge, Chocmotif, Cocoapod, Damian Allsop and Demarquette among others.

Aside from stuffing your face with delectable chocolate, you could try your hand at learning the fine art of chocolate-making from top chocolatiers at dedicated workshops like ‘Masters of Chocolate Afternoon’ with Damian Allsop, Paul A. Young and Chantal Coady. For your dedication, you’ll be rewarded with several cups of hot chocolate and attacking a few chocolate brownies.

Once you’re done with the sampling and the learning, you could drop in at the ChocoMe booth and jump right in to make your very own chocolate, using ingredients that make your world go into a tizzy. (That’s your own, personalised chocolate we’re talking about and that IS a good reason!)

Chocolate tasting, just like wine tasting is a whole other art and it means more than just gobbling down yummy lumps of brown. The London Chocolate Festival will give you a chance to learn this delicious art with a free tutorial by Marin Christy of Seventy%.

Here’s another unique reason to go – you can get chocolate on your face! Chocolate isn’t just for the stomach; you can do wonders with cocoa in your beauty products and Chocolate Ecstasy’s Jennifer Earle and Katie Napper will show you just how to veer cocoa butter away from that icing cone and right into a pot of face cream. You couldn’t possibly still be feeling guilty!

So get your tickets now, pick a hotel and slip in some XXL clothing into your bag, because the London Chocolate Festival is calling.
