LA Fashion Week brings its own imitable all American style to the established institution that isan international Fashion show. As a relative newcomer on the global fashion circuit, this celebration of fashion doesn’t compete with established shows such as New York Fashion Week. Instead, it leverages its own energy to bring a different spin to the world of American fashion.

For something a bit funkier, Melrose Place is the place to shop with some niche boutiques and new designers.

To really feel like the rich and famous, you could head to Sunset Boulevard and have a quiet drink at the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, whose past guests include John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor and Howard Hughes. If you don’t spot a movie star, you can always go to Universal Studios and feel like you are in a movie. With real sound-stages and sets from famous films and television series, you can have the surreal experience of standing amidst the towering skyscrapers of New York whilst enjoying the LA sunshine.
