That adorable dimpled smile, the signature arms-open pose, the passionate eyes, and the impactful dialogue delivery that sends temperatures soaring — Shahrukh Khan is not called King Khan for nothing. If you are a true SRK fan, this list of travel destinations will fascinate you thoroughly!
It is no news to an SRK fan that the actor’s favourite destination is Dubai. He calls the city his second home, and very recently shot the film, ‘Be My Guest’, to promote tourism to the city. The actor owns a gorgeous beachfront villa there and has often been spotted in the city’s popular hotels and restaurants with friends and family. He recommends touring Spice Souk, Skydive Dubai, and the beaches when in Dubai. The city has something in store for everyone, and now that King Khan is advocating Dubai, we see no reason to not go.

A die-hard SRK fan, actor Ranveer Singh, recently recreated King Khan’s moves from the song ‘Tu Mere Saamne’ from Darr and posted a short clip of it on Twitter — he claimed the Internet. Years ago, while playing the obsessed lover, Shahrukh Khan shot this song in Switzerland and won our hearts. Think 90s and images of Bollywood’s King of Romance dancing with his leading ladies will conjure up, and more often than not, the beautiful landscapes were from a city in Switzerland — Bernese Oberland, Vevey, Lucerne, Sion, Zweisimmen, and of course, Gstaad (for DDLJ).

Shahrukh Khan has professed his love for London quite often. He has a home there, his elder son recently graduated from a college there, and the Khan family holidays in the city almost every year. London has also been a backdrop for various SRK films showcasing locations like Westminster Abbey, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square and Tower Bridge. And here’s your biggest draw — you can get clicked alongside your favourite actor in London as he has been immortalised in the form of a wax statue at Madame Tussauds Museum!

Post the release of DDLJ, Raj and Simran aka Shahrukh Khan and Kajol became the most loved onscreen pair. Their chemistry was rekindled in 2015 with Dilwale. One of the most popular images from the film was of SRK romancing standing atop a wrecked plane on an isolated beach. Well, guess what? The plane is on Solheimasandur’s black sandy beach in the south of Iceland and you can get yourself clicked there a-la SRK too! Added bonus: while you’re there, visit Vestrahorn mountain, Reynisfjara Black Beach, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and Skogafoss Waterfall to re-enact more scenes from the song Gerua.

Wish for a destination closer home: one that reminds you of Shahrukh Khan at every step? It’s Ladakh. And the one movie that will greatly inspire you to visit this destination is SRK’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan. To shoot the film’s climax in Ladakh was reportedly King Khan’s idea (he shot for Dil Se in this location many years ago). Do it his way on a Royal Enfield to explore the location’s natural marvels such as Pangong Tso Lake and the stunning landscape.
