Even after visiting this “Little Lhasa” multiple times, I just cannot get enough of it! Chilling in the quaint cafes, enjoying the pleasant weather and strolling aimlessly on the streets, is all I do when I’m holidaying in McLeodganj. If you’re into all of that, then skip Dharamshala and head to this wonderful getaway.

The best part about this place is the simple and affordable hotels with good standards of hygiene.

dessert

I start my day with some delicious breakfast at one of the cafes. Here, you’ll find a lot of healthy options at pocket-friendly prices.Your cravings for comfort food will definitely end in this part of the world!

food

McLeodganj is the destination where you can try delicacies from all around the world, without burning a hole in your pocket.

food-travel

Here, I’ve had the best ravioli, sushi and tempura of my life!

beverages

Are you a tea lover? Look for the huge variety of teas, coffees and other drinks in the menus. McLeodganj is the place where I had ginger lemon honey tea for the first time.

celeb-meet

Apart from seeing the Dalai Lama from a close proximity, I also met film actor Asif Basra at a café here.

market

The street shopping scene is also not bad! My trips aren’t complete without buying some unique local goodies such as flat noodles, dried shitake mushrooms, teas and other exotic foods.

view

With views like this, you have to slow down to admire the grandeur of nature.

sunset

Usually, I like to relish the evenings by watching the sunset with a hot cup of tea.

night

I end my day by admiring such views from the hotel window or balcony. Hotels with rooftops are great for late-night conversations with your travel buddies, accompanied by some hot tea ofcourse.
