The beautiful palm trees, the setting sun and endless waters of the Arabian Sea serve as amazing subjects for photography. Don’t forget to carry your camera.

One of Mumbai's star attractions, Chowpatty Beach is located on the northern side of Marine Drive. Savour street food at the many street shops that line the beach, or take a barefoot stroll on the golden sands.

 

Gateway of India

Mumbai’s most famous landmark is located at the southern tip of the city, overlooking the splendid Arabian Sea. This magnificent edifice was constructed to memorialize King George V and Queen Mary's visit to India in 1911.

 

Dhobi Ghat

The internationally famed Dhobi Ghat of Mahalakshmi is an open-air laundry that is more than a century old in origin. It is considered the largest outdoor laundry in the world. For those who desire to capture the traditional essence of Mumbai, Dhobi Ghat serves as the perfect subject.

 

Juhu Beach

Located on the Juhu Tara Road, Juhu Beach is counted amongst Mumbai's star attractions. You can enjoy cycling, jogging and horse and camel riding here, against the backdrop of the picturesque waterfront. While you are here, don’t miss trying out the famous kala khatta.

Public Transport:  Buses, taxis and auto rickshaws are accessible round the clock and are generally pretty safe.

Be Prepared For

Crowds: Mumbai sees huge crowds at most times and places. Good news is, you will never be lonely.

Rains: If you are travelling between June and September, be prepared for recurrent rainfall throughout your trip. Make sure to carry an umbrella and a sturdy pair of shoes.
