Our Honeymoon in Seychelles – My Dream Destination!

Seychelles is a small island nation found in East Africa. The country is best known for its exotic locations, powdery white shores and turquoise water. The world's most photographed beach, Anse Source D' Argent is in La Digue, Seychelles.

I was able to fulfil my dream of travelling to Seychelles when we went for our honeymoon on 19th Feb 2020. We visited Mahe, Praslin and La Digue. I have been to numerous seaside destinations but the beaches in Seychelles are out of the world. They were so elegant!

And the people are so friendly in Seychelles and live in such a laid back manner. Nobody is in a hurry. They like music and the sight of them playing football at the shore while the sun was setting was one of my most memorable scenes from the trip. And not to ignore the tasty Creole cuisine which is similar to the Indian cuisine.

We returned to India on 26th Feb 2020 right before COVID-19 had hit India. We deem ourselves very lucky as we were able to return to our country before the lockdown was announced or else we would have been stranded in Seychelles. Although I would not mind being stranded with my hubby at such a stunning location but no one wants to incur that huge load of expense.

First, we had planned the vacation for the first week of April 2020 while we got married in February. But since I work in a bank I told my husband that I would not get leave again after such a short period. So we planned the honeymoon for February.

And now we think that it was one of the best decisions we had made. Given the current situation, only God knows when we would have been able to travel next and our honeymoon would have been delayed to forever!
