What I Learnt From My Urgent Trip to the USA During the Pandemic!

Times have been bad. The soaring numbers of Covid cases around the world has caused a huge threat to the regular activities in everyday lives. The world had almost come to a standstill for over 6 months.  The entire pandemic fiasco has been terrifying and travel has been out of question for most of us. But, what do you do if you have to urgently plan a travel amidst the pandemic for work or any emergency? You are bound to take up the bold step to book your tickets. Well, this is exactly how I ended up travelling all the way to the USA during the toughest times of the pandemic.

My mom has been residing in the United States and after many months, I finally had the chance to go and meet her. Well, there are only so many days that you can stay away from your mom!

 

Travelling in these trying times was a bit tricky. The PPE kit throughout the journey kept me uneasy. With dollops of hand sanitizers and maintaining strict social distancing, I finally made it to the USA safe and sound. It seemed to be my longest flight ever to the States!

Life in United States seemed almost normal. While I continued to take all the necessary precautions, giving in to the health freak in me, I managed to continue my workout regime at a gym there as well!

A little adventure to a nearby lake for a fun afternoon of games, food and family kept us bonded.

This trip indeed opened my eyes. While COVID is a very serious issue and one should not take the precautions lightly, there is also no reason to panic about it. I cautiously practiced all the necessary safety measures and was able to enjoy my trip. There is no reason why you shouldn’t either!
