One of the youngest national parks, this place is a paradise for wildlife lovers. Since entry is restricted, it is not crowded like other parks. Big game like gaurs, elephants, bears, deer are usually sighted here. For those interested in seeing tigers, this place might disappoint since the big cat rarely pays a visit.

Jatashankar Cave

It is believed that Lord Shiva hid himself inside the cave, due to the fear of demon Bhasmasur and left his matted locks here. Jata means hair and Shankar is Lord Shiva himself and hence, the name of the place. It is within walking distance from Pachmarhi town and can be reached by climbing down about 100 stairs into a ravine.

Bison Lodge
