Fun at Corbett and Mussoorie: When an Encounter with Wildlife Left Us Mesmerised

My family and I are passionate animal and mountain lovers. We were looking forward to visiting a wildlife sanctuary or a charming hill station. We were unable to choose between Ranthambore and Nainital, however, our work was made easier with the MakeMyTrip package that we stumbled upon online. It combined a wildlife experience with a trip to a hill station—and that suited us just fine. So we immediately booked the Corbett and Mussoorie wildlife special package. We had been to Corbett a number of times before, but it’s a place that we can never get enough of and thanks to MakeMyTrip, our holiday was an absolute breeze.

Day 1: Delhi to Corbett

Our driver picked us up from our hotel in Delhi and drove us all the way to Corbett. The journey was 6 hours long, so the rest of the day we decided to stay in and enjoy the privileges of the hotel.

DAY 2: Corbett - Jungle Safari

We had an early start the next day at Corbett National Park. We started exploring the marvels of the National Park on a jeep safari excursion. As we passed by the designated trails of the park, we came across a grey langoor swinging from one tree to another while on the other side there was a sambhar deer grazing on the grass. But our main focus was to find the majestic tiger, maybe crouching behind some bushes or perhaps laying around by a waterbody. The best part about Corbett is that it is not only a haven for animal lovers, but also a paradise for bird watchers. So, of course, we carried our binoculars through which we were able to spot the White Stork, Black-Crowned Night Heron, Cinnamon Bittern, Great White Pelican and more. The 4-hour safari was made so comfortable because of the 6-seater (4x4) jeep that was our ride.

Day 3: Corbett to Mussoorie

The next morning we departed for Mussoorie with our designated driver. It was a 6-hour drive again. Upon reaching, we kept our belongings in our room and decided to head over to the mall road for a shopping trip.

Day 4: Mussoorie

Our fourth day was spent soaking the different sights and sounds of Mussoorie with a tour around the area. We visited the Mussoorie Lake, Lake Mist and Kempty Falls. We also went to the Jwalaji Temple on the way to Kempty falls, but one should know that it requires a fair amount of walking so it may not be suitable for all.

Day 5: Mussoorie to Delhi

On our last day we checked out of our hotel and were on our way back home, feeling utterly recharged and rejuvenated. Though it was a long and hectic outing, MakeMyTrip made it worthwhile.
