While choosing a destination for vacation is important, I believe a hotel makes or breaks your overall holiday experience. During my trip to Nainital, I knew exactly what I was looking for. After a thorough online search for hotels in Nainital, I finally booked a room at Hotel Pavilion in Nainital which couldn’t have been a better choice for my needs. Here’s why…

1. At Your Service…

There’s nothing more comforting than having a timely pick and drop facility from the hotel, especially, if you’re get in to your destination at the unearthly hour of 5 am! Half-asleep, I got off the train and stepped on to the Kathgodham station. I was more than pleased to see a black Tata Sumo with Hotel Pavilion placard with my name on it waiting for me. I smiled as the cab driver, Durga, helped me with my luggage.

2. Not Far, Not Near…

As much as the hotel was away from the busy town, the Mall Road was just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. It offered the best of both the worlds - a peaceful environ and accessability to the Mall Road and other attractions in Nainital. I couldn’t have asked for a better location.

3. My Deluxe Suite

Needless to say, I was curious to see my room. I had booked a garden-facing suite of which I had seen pictures online. On opening the door, each detail matched up to my expectations. There were white colour motifs painted on the walls of the living area with a comfortable wooden sofa set. The bed was plush and the washroom had all the features I’d wanted.

4. Gopal Da…

Right from treating me to a warm tulsi tea on my arrival at the hotel at 7 am and a finger-licking grilled chicken burger for the breakfast to freshly baked chocolate doughnuts for my evening snack indulgence and my all-time favourite, aloo ka parantha for dinner, Gopal da, the head chef always did it with perfection. More than the food, it was his smile and persona that made my trip to Nainital more memorable.

5. Walk Your Way

Seek pure bliss when you wake up to a fresh morning and look outside the window only to find a green patch of grass inviting you to come and play. Stroll through the garden as you enjoy the company of mountains on one side and hot coffee on the other, walk on freshly-cut grass and let the moment take over you. Experience nirvana like never before!
