Feta, olive oil, white sand beaches and the best cafes.

The first trip my husband and I had taken was a short work trip to Athens. Other than visiting a few historic sites and a few cafes, we did not get too much time to see anything but we promised that we would be back soon. Another 6 months down the line, Dec 2019, we headed to Greece again, this time we had planned to explore Santorini and Mykonos. Each time I write these names, each time I say them, I have a smile on my face!

Mykonos, the twin sister of Ibiza or Greece’s answer to Ibiza, is the party animal of Cyclades, with bronzed bodies thronging its beaches by day and music pounding through its super clubs until dawn. However, there is more to Mykonos than the dazzling sand, and voracious partygoers.

We went visiting Hora that is the shopping place for desperate shoppers like me.

Then headed to Paradise beach, one of the most iconic beaches, not just in Greece but the world!

We stayed the night at Mykonos and travelled from one beach to another by a scooter that we had rented.

On our day 3, we headed to Santorini (I melt away while even saying the word Santorini). There is a village called Oia, which is in the north of Santorini, houses there lie on a slope. Ah! The sunset there is mind blowing, you need to book a table a few hours in advance to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine.

Overall, if I ever have a chance to go back to this place, I would shoot myself if I ever had second thoughts!
