The reputed erstwhile London Metropolitan Police headquarters, Scotland Yard has been refurbished by Indian-owned business house, LuLu Group International, as a plush hotel commanding lavish views of the Buckingham Palace, Nelson's Column and Westminster Abbey. Having been the famous address of infamous London criminals to being featured in renowned movies like “Atonement”, the building is witness to watershed moments in British history and culture. To be managed by Hyatt as part of its ‘The Unbound Collection’, the hotel proudly boasts of 150+ rooms and 10+ suites.

Preserving the original character of the building, the heritage boutique hotel has managed to perfectly blend the historical past with the contemporary present. With quite a few cells renovated and glammed up for luxe tourist tastes, you can also spot prisoner memorabilia dotting the property. Special attractions include a glass chandelier made of shards of glass in reference to the Forty Elephants – a 19th century women’s gang famous for smashing shop windows to steal jewellery.
