Are you postponing your Ladakh trip just to avoid the expensive flights and tiresome bike journeys? There’s some good news for you. In an endeavour to connect Ladakh to the national capital, Indian Railways has planned to build the world’s highest railway line which will run along the Indo-China border. The 465 Km long railway track is estimated to be built with a cost of Rs. 83,360 crores, making the land of passes accessible to all, through a train journey. While the location survey is still on—which can take about 30 months—it still is a sigh of relief!
