My journey began in San Francisco at 10 am. We rented our car from the car rental agency near the airport and left for Santa Barbara, CA, driving along the West Coast!

On reaching Santa Barbara, we went to the beach for a swim in the very cold Pacific water and enjoyed authentic Mexican food afterwards. Next morning we took the Santa Barbara tour on a typical Italian rickshaw, which I was driving. Soon after, we headed towards Los Angeles, CA!

Los Angeles

Upon reaching Los Angeles, CA, late evening we checked into our hotel and then went for dinner to a restaurant in the neighborhood. Next day was a trip to Universal Studios! Along with it we did a LA tour, saw the Chinese Theatre, the famous ‘Hollywood’ sign, visited Rodeo Drive, went to Farmer’s Market and to the center of downtown LA, where I went on my own to see the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Next Morning we left for Anaheim, CA.

 Anaheim

Anaheim is an hour-and-a-half away from LA and we were staying right across Disney Land. We went on all the rides on a 2 day pass! The California Adventures in Disney Land was my favourite where I actually drove a car! Next morning, we suddenly decided to drive up to San Diego.

San Diego

We reached San Diego early afternoon, and ate lunch at my aunt’s house. That day we just relaxed, ordered food and chilled. Next morning we went to the Sea World and I had an amazing time. The next morning we woke up at 9 am and headed towards Las Vegas, Nevada.

Las Vegas

We reached Las Vegas in the afternoon and checked in to the Venetian, it felt as if I was in Venice at that moment, there was a water body with gondolas in it, and you could travel in them to go from one place in the hotel to another. Although Vegas was pretty boring for me, being just 14, the only thing keeping me from getting bored was the Abercrombie store across the road and the outlet malls on the outskirts of Vegas. The best part about Las Vegas was seeing the David Copperfield (illusionist) show and the Cirque De Soleil. But visiting the Grand Canyon on the helicopter was just another experience, I could see three states from up top, Nevada, Arizona and California, it was beautiful! Although I was excited the day we were leaving, I was eager to meet my cousins in San Jose. I still remember how sad I was that our road trip had come to an end, yet, I couldn’t wait to reach San Jose. After giving our rented car back in the Las Vegas airport, we boarded our flight and were on our way to San Jose.
