The variety of food and list of restaurants offering vegetarian delights will leave you spoilt for choice.
1. Kung Tak Lam: A must visit for authentic and vegetarian Shanghai cuisine. No MSG used.

2. Light Vegetarian Restaurant: “Eat healthy without meat” is their motto and they have a delicious menu to make sure you do! This restaurant in Hong Kong serves a la carte throughout the day as well as a lunch buffet between 12 noon and 3 pm.

3. Paramita Vegetarian Restaurant: This chain of restaurants is at two locations. They serve vegetarian food cooked by experienced chefs, using fresh ingredients to create a versatile menu of different cuisines. No MSG used. 1. Branto: The original “Pure Indian Vegetarian Restaurant” since 1994, the food at Branto could even make a hard core non-vegetarian enjoy fresh and healthy vegetarian food. After satisfying your taste buds at Branto, spend your evening at one of these exciting nightlife jaunts in the city. 2. Smrat Pure Vegetarian: If you are visiting the famous ChungKing Mansions, this restaurant is great for a vegetarian fare. Smrat Pure Vegetarian serves Jain food as well. 3. Khana Khazana: This place is always filled with Indian diners – and that is always a great sign for yummy Indian food!

1. Pure Veggie House: One of the few places where you will get great Chinese food, Pure Veggie House serves dishes without onion and garlic and no MSG in them. Tip: the servers don’t speak much English, which may be a struggle for a few but the food is well worth it! 2. Surya Restaurant: Though not a pure vegetarian restaurant, Surya Restaurant serves excellent vegetarian food without onion and garlic. 1. Grassroots Pantry: Serves wholesome, nutritional and healthy food made from fresh local and organic produce. Must try: Burdock fries, Tofu and potato crouquettes, Japanese noodles, blueberry cheesecake. 2. Maya Café: Run by a French chef who loves to create some amazing organic, vegetarian dishes, Maya Café serves authentic Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food. 4. Bookworm Café: The pioneers of vegetarian cuisine in Hong Kong, if you visit Bookworm Café on a holiday or weekend, make sure you make a reservation in advance.
