#BloggerContest: A Perfect Weekend Getaway at Westin Sohna Resort and Spa

Fancy going somewhere exotic but have a time crunch? Well, that is the story of our lives and to celebrate our anniversary, my husband and I picked the Westin Sohna Resort and Spa. Its proximity to Delhi is a big winner. Westin Sohna and Spa is a high-end resort with amenities to make your holiday complete. While I looked forward to this quick vacation, what wowed me was the courteous treatment and the lavish ambience of the place.  The rooms here are spacious suites or villas and the acres of greenery refresh you—a far cry from the fast paced city life.

The Green Impact

Upon entering, the first thing that surprised me is the well maintained greenery. The Westin Sohna Resort and Spa has immaculate lawns spread over acres that make it a peaceful sojourn away from the bustling city life an hour away. There is also a special area where there are exotic birds for you to visit.

Luxurious Rooms

The villas are rather well equipped. While the bed is comfortable and the kinds you crave for on a holiday, the huge tub in the wash room made it a complete holiday experience for me. The tub has a giant glass rooftop overlooking the foliage discreetly enough to make you comfortable and it truly defined relaxation for me.

Scrumptious Food

The food here is one of the best I have had at a hotel on a holiday. Breakfast buffets are my sweet spot and this one had a vast buffet that literally spoiled me for choice. From waffles, to elaborate Indian and continental breakfast spreads, there’s a lot to pick from. The Chinese restaurant here is worth trying too.

Perfect for Families

With two huge pools to lounge in the day and a lavish spa to rejuvenate, there is not much that this holiday doesn’t cover for you. Children especially want some play time on a holiday and this resort is perfect as my son enjoyed himself completely. The staff also pays extra attention to the kids and makes them feel comfortable; not many places make such efforts and as a mother this made me very happy. A dedicated play area with latest slides, swings, an indoor play-zone and animals make it a complete winner for a family getaway. For the adventurous ones there are horse riding and paragliding sessions available too. We also spotted the exotic Emu.

I would recommend a visit to The Westin, Sohna if time isn’t one of the luxuries available to you right now. Because the property makes up for the loss of it with a liberal serving of all other kinds of extravagances.
