Deeds of Hopes

Community Initiatives

#SustainabilityPartner at the Ziro Festival of Music

We partnered with the Ziro Festival of Music and managed the waste at the 4-day music festival. The festival celebrates passion, sustainability, community and cultural diversity – promoting the indigenous tribes and music artists. Set against the picturesque Ziro Valley in Arunachal Pradesh, the festival uses locally-sourced materials like bamboo and employs local community members to host attendees, prioritising sustainability practices.

#EcoBikersEcoHikers

12 volunteers undertook a bike journey from Delhi to Kanatal to promote responsible travel. They rode to our community-based tourism project site in Uttarakhand, engaging with the local communities, staying in their homestays and volunteering in their fields to prepare nurseries. They also interacted with various tourists and spread awareness of responsible tourism practices through engaging games and quizzes.

#ManaliCleanUp

In partnership with the Rotary Club and Rotaract Club at Manali, we conducted a large-scale clean-up drive, spanning across two days with participation from 70 community members, including the youth of Manali, and together collecting over 2,500 kg of waste.
