The project aims at creating a replicable and scalable model for tourism in the rural set up of 3 clusters in Uttarakhand. The model works through custodianship of local communities, and strives to deliver the sensitive travels authentic experiences that are planet and people friendly.

The project is being implemented by Himmotthan over a period of 3 years. It covers 3 clusters that are close to the source markets of Delhi/ Dehradun.

• -Jadipani Cluster (area between Dhanaulti & chamba)

• -Chopta Cluster (area near Ukhimath in Rudraprayag)

• -The geographic location of the 3rd cluster will be finalised in year 2 of the project, depending on additional requirements in current clusters/ development of a new cluster.

The project will take a destination level approach and work towards developing the geography in terms of home stays and experiences and business models for the community, etc.
