Mangrove Plantation

In order to sustain Gujarat's coastal defenses and promote biodiversity, We are undertaking a three-year mangrove plantation project in Devla Village, Bharuch District.
Through this intervention, over 65 hectares of mangroves will be restored through the plantation of over 1,62,500 mangrove plants. This green shield will sequester about 520 MT of CO2 each year in addition to protecting against coastal erosion and unfavorable climate changes. The initiative will also create 8,840 person-days of local employment.
