About Nanded Airport
Nanded Airport History:
The Nanded airfield was built in the year of 1958. It was the first airport in Marathwada region. Though it remained under development for many years but it will shortly serve at regional places in the early 90s. In the year of 2000, the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation took entire accountability of development and maintenance of the airport. This was the great push in the proper establishment of the airport. In the year of 2006, the Nanded airport was leased to Reliance Airport Developers who managed each and every thing very well and till date the operations are under the organization. In the year of 2008, the airport got advanced at a cost of Rs. 940 million. A new terminal complex has completed with an apron area of 290 m x 120 m with a separate parking area.
