Formerly known as the Dum Dum Airport, Kolkata Airport is now known as the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport. It is located in Kolkata, in the state of West Bengal. It was the fifth busiest airport of India from April 2006 to March 2012 in terms of overall passenger traffic and in terms of international passenger traffic it ranked ninth. Situated at a distance of about 17 km from the main city and connects the city with all the major cities and towns of the country as well as the world.
