SpiceJet domestic Baggage Allowance

Like all flights, SpiceJet allows its passenger limited mount and weight of baggage, both hand baggage and check-in baggage. There are many occurrences wherein a passenger has to either pay penalty or take out some stuff from their luggage because they crossed the weight limit.

Airlines are requested to maintain particular limits on checked baggage by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), which not all airlines adhere to.

SpiceJet Baggage Allowance for Domestic Flights includes the following:

  1. Check-in baggage of up to 15kg and 30kg of check-in baggage per passenger for a business class passenger. The measurement should not be more than 158cm on Boeing flights and 42.5 inches on Bombardier flights. It should not exceed 7kg.
  2. One cabin bag per passenger weighing no more than 7kg. The measurement of the article should not be more than 115cm.

As of 2019, INR 400/700 per Kg for Economy/Business Class is charged for excess baggage.

Keep in mind that only INR is accepted when purchasing food on the plane. But they do allow food items such as cold snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, cookies, burgers, and biscuits on board.
