Use your debit/credit card or net banking to pay when buying your MakeMyTrip Anniversary Gift Card. Visit the MakeMyTrip website or open the MakeMyTrip app on your mobile phone. Select ‘gift card’ and choose the occasion. Add denomination and the number of cards. Type in the name of the recipients and their email addresses. Put in a personal message and pay for the travel gift card.

To redeem an Anniversary Gift Card, you need to open the MakeMyTrip app or log on to the website. Select and book your preferences for travel options, holiday packages and hotels. When you reach the payment page, opt to pay with ‘gift cards’. Enter your gift card number and PIN. If your total transaction is more than the card amount, pay the balance using another mode.

Yes, if you have more than one but less than four Anniversary Gift Cards, you can redeem them during one transaction. The initial steps are similar such as logging on to the website or opening the mobile app and selecting the offers and services of your preference. While announcing the payment option of ‘gift cards’, declare more than one card and type in their card numbers (16-digit each) and PINs (6-digit each). Your total transaction amount will get adjusted against the amount in your gift cards.

In many cases, the transaction amount happens to be less than the amount loaded on your gift card. While paying for the bookings you have done, you must use the Anniversary Gift Card along with its card number and PIN. MakeMyTrip will deduct the required transaction amount from your card, but the balance amount remains on your card. You can use this remaining amount for a future transaction but within the validity period of the travel gift card.

A MakeMyTrip Anniversary Gift Card is a pre-paid gift voucher with a fixed amount on it. You can use this card, with the amount, to book or purchase offers, and services listed on MakeMyTrip. Once you have selected your preferences from the list, your payment would be deducted from the Anniversary Gift Card which you declare with your card number and PIN. Depending on whether the transaction amount is less or more than what your gift card has, either the balance is returned to your card, or you are prompted to pay the balance through other modes.

You need not do anything in such a case. If the transaction for a booked holiday, made against your Anniversary Gift Card, fails, MakeMyTrip returns the amount deducted. It is loaded onto the same card which was used during the transaction. In most cases, the amount is automatically refunded and reflects on your card within 72 hours. 

You can redeem your Anniversary Gift Card on holiday packages, offline. You can either write a mail to gifts@makemytrip.com or make phone calls to redeem your card (9599595601 to book domestic holiday packages and 9599595618 to book international holiday packages). You may even walk into the nearest MakeMyTrip branch and place the request to redeem it.

MakeMyTrip gift cards are valid only within the validity period which is 365 days from when issued. After the validity period is over, your Anniversary Gift Card loses its viability, and its amount is lost. Also, the amount loaded on a gift card is redeemable only through the products and services offered by MakeMyTrip. You cannot encash this amount either in currency or in your bank account.

Since you know you will be unable to avail of the services you booked, you must cancel these at once. MakeMyTrip will deduct some cancellation charges as per the cancellation policy of the bookings. The balance amount will be returned to the Anniversary Gift Card which was used to book the trip. If more than one card was used to book the holiday, the amount will be returned to all of them after deducting cancellation charges.
