Booking a Do Dham Yatra package is an easy process. The Do Dham Yatra package can include either Yamunotri and Gangotri or Kedarnath and Badrinath. There are several options to book a Do Dham Yatra tour package from Delhi which is well connected to most of these destinations.
You can also book a Do Dham Yatra package from Haridwar for more convenient access to these revered spiritual sites. Most people prefer to book a Do Dham Yatra package for Kedarnath and Badrinath. The former is one of Lord Shiva’s twelve Jyotirlingas, while the latter is a sacred place that worships Lord Vishnu in the dual avatar of Nar Narayan. Those looking for a fulfilling spiritual pilgrimage to any two of these famous temples can book Do Dham Yatra packages from anywhere in India. You can reach these temples through treks or helicopter rides. Some places also have pony rides and other transportation services.
You can easily customise your Do Dham Yatra package, choosing your accommodation, nearby sightseeing, food and other aspects as per your preferences. There are tons of choices available for travellers. However, make sure that you register online at the websites of temple authorities wherever required. Check the rules and regulations carefully while being mindful of the high altitude and other challenges. A Do Dham Yatra package will ensure ample fulfilment for those looking for spirituality, peace and tranquillity. There are several nearby destinations including lakes, trekking trails and hill stations that are accessible from these temples. They can also be included in your travel itinerary.
You must book your Do Dham Yatra package with care, keeping the weather conditions in mind. Many people prefer visiting in the summer season (April to June) when the weather is soothing and pleasant, while offering ample scope for indulging in outdoor activities and sightseeing. The trekking trails are easier to access at this time. You can also consider visiting during the monsoon season which witnesses mild to moderate rainfall. The weather remains comforting in this period, while the entire area comes alive due to the rains. The temples close during the winter season (from November onwards) and you cannot book a Do Dham Yatra package in this period.
If you are booking a Do Dham Yatra package for Kedarnath and Badrinath, then the nearest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun while the nearest railway station is located in Haridwar. The journey from Haridwar to Gaurikund (the starting point of the Kedarnath trek) is approximately 7 hours, while it will take you around 6-7 hours to reach Gaurikund from the Dehradun airport. If you are journeying via Delhi, then you can reach Gaurikund in around 11-12 hours via road.
The road distance to Badrinath from Sonprayag (Kedarnath) is approximately 211-224 kilometres, depending on the route that you choose. Helicopter rides may help you save time on the route, although you should check for their availability beforehand. Alternatively, you can drive down to Guptkashi from Gaurikund and then to Joshimath to reach Badrinath
If you have chosen Yamunotri and Gangotri as your destination for the Do Dham Yatra package, you will have to choose the same transit points as mentioned earlier. Helicopter rides are also available to reach both the temples.
