Ganapatipule, a beautiful hamlet located in Ratnagiri district state of Maharashtra. This place is renowned as the birth place of Lokmanya Tilak, known for his nationalist approach. The village of Ganapatipule also has a major attraction in terms of spiritual being which is a 400-year-old Ganesha temple having an old idol of Lord Ganesha. The idol is made out of one massive rock by artistic approach and looks fabulous being studded in the temple center. The idol is also known by the name of Swayambhu Ganpati that means that the idol is self established or created monolith of Lord Ganesha. The other reason behind the tourism in Ganptipule is the beautiful weather surrounding the place throughout the year and one can visit this beautiful place in summers and winters both. One can also enjoy the feast and fair happening during the Ganesha Chaturthi festival which is of great importance to this place.
