Very nice and clean room with lots of space. Reception friendly and everything went smooth checking in.

To start, valet service providers were rude. At that cost per day, to receive poor service is unacceptable. We tipped only to be polite but it was not deserved. Cleaning service entered our room without knocking, even with the do not disturb sign up. Again we tipped because we are nice people. To top it off, the hotel bar closed an hour early and turned away numerous customers. When asked, why it was closed, the gentleman became irritated and rude. We will never stay here again and will advise others not to either! We visit Montreal often and there are many hotels that offer much better service.

Old hotel with spacious rooms

But really dark inside the rooms and look very dated and old. Good location for downtown and old town. Also close to the central train station. I guess this will be overtaken by other hotels in the area unless it renovates. Perhaps surviving because of intercontinental branding only.
