Cottages are excellent

Cottages are recommended. Bhutanese style wooden cottages with room heater. Fast housekeeping. Courteous staff. Good food. Few options of Indian food available. Little far from the center of the town. But since staying in cottages are worth an experience, highly recommended.

Stayed for 2 days. Hospitality and food were great. Stone bath was under maintenance during stay.

Being an old Hotel, the facilities and rooms are little dark and feels you not hygienic and safe. Cleanliness is one part that can be worked upon. Location is far from Paro Town. Suggestion you may explore much better Hotel in Paro Town at better price than Olathong
We were quite disappointed with the Hotel Olathang in Paro. Poor maintenance, indifferent housekeeping, spoiled our stay. Flies were coming in through the broken netted window. The ceiling light with provision for 3 bulks had only one. The floor especially the bathroom wasn't clean. The only good thing was the location, but it couldn't compensate for the crumbling Hotel. We had two bookings, While the Hotel honored the 1st booking grudgingly, they refused accommodation for the second night booking, forcing us to book at another Hotel, actually a beautiful resort.

Convenient location, spacious resort, cottages with view
Resort is spacious, convenient located 5-7 min drive from local market. Some of the cottages have good Valley view while others are internal resort facing. All normal room facilities are provided though the resort furniture is a bit outdated. Food quality just OK, to be improved.

Avoid this hotel is possible. Horrible experience, very far from the city. Geyser was not working In spite of complaining. They chased us for ordering dinner post 6 pm if late they would not take any orders later. Very poor ventilation and untidy rooms. Stinky would be an understatement. Service was horrible. Understood it’s a Heritage property but guests are not staying here for free neither coming for sightseeing the same. They are here to stay and demand better facilities and services. Very poor service. Hot water was not working. Very bad ventilation. Away from the mail City.

If you talk in terms of price the hotel scores the best. The rooms were good. Proper and clean washrooms and the price was eye-catching. Liked the ambience, location and view from the hotel.
