Excellent property in fantastic location. Could benefit from a little upkeep (loose tiles in kitchen, shower needing re-sealing) but a very comfortable stay. Round the corner from the main square with the astrological clock, and while the front door to the property opens on to a bustling street the apartment itself is very peaceful. A very spacious living/dining area, a very well equipped kitchen, and a separate upstairs bedroom and bathroom.
barrie.familyNov 10, 2024 The apartment was very spacious and well appointed with all we needed. It was clean and very central being in the heart of the Old City. The only issue we had was the communication upon arrival. Even though the apartments are advertised as U Kapra the location of our apartment was infact Ericsson Palace which was across the street. It seemed the grumpy person at Ericsson Palace didn't seem to even be expecting us and we were ushered across the street to U Kapra apartments where the receptionist there seemed to have no record of our stay. She called her manager who put her straight and we were then brought back to the Ericsson Palace apartments where we were given the the keys to our room in that building. So all great but arrival arrangements should have been better and this hassle is not welcome when you have had a long days travel and have to wait till 3om to get the room. We noticed that all reception staff at a Ericsson Palace we came across during our stay all seemed to be void of any happiness or personality.
It’s a great place, an old building and very good location, just 2-3 blocks from the clock. Need to improve the safety of the stairs. The old building has wooden and narrow stairs that are very slippery. So, just be careful going down. The can improve communication on how to get there because it’s a walking distance and the taxi will leave you a couple of blocks away.
Excellent but no temperature control.
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Solid location though very touristy. Apartment was nice and clean. Very quiet even with windows open. It was quite hot on the top floor in October. They were running the heat and the thermostat was locked so the only way to cool appeared to be opening the windows. With highs in the 60s F and nights being cool but not cold the heat was very unnecessary.
First of all, the excellent location of the property at Old Town Square and also its closeness to most other tourist attractions like Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, river cruises, Wencesla Square, Haveska etc.
Secondly, our apartment #H is comfortable for 4 adults, clean and well equipped.
Thirdly, the center heating is excellent and we don't need to use the additional heating from the reverse cycle units.

Being in the roof of the building, the apartment is heated by the rooms below. Even with the heating completely off and the ineffective air conditioning turned on “full”, the apartment was so hot we didn’t sleep at all the first 2 nights. The third night we slept much better, because the building’s boiler had broken so there was no hot water. Obviously these things happen but in a hotel this wouldn’t be a problem and there was no notice from the property managers that this had happened.
The 24 hour reception is actually security for the building as a whole (the rest of it is part of a university) and guests staying are clearly an inconvenience to them.
The property has an excellent location but does need some work to make it really nice, everything needs a lick of paint or damaged things replaced.
For a full-on city break it was fine for us, but the warmth of the building and lack of on-hand staff was a problem.

vincent.partnerSep 27, 2024 The apartment was on an excellent location in the center surrounded but everything yet was still absolutely quiet inside. It’s very large and comfortable. The only improvement I would have liked is better wifi. It was very slow and often could not connect in the front bedroom. Overall, I’d highly recommend the apartment though.

We stayed in a huge apartment for 4 people probable the best we have stayed in abroad. loads of space and lots of storage. everything you need. Beside the main square and a few minutes walk to the Charles bridge. Plenty of restaurants in the area. not too far to walk to main attractions. We found a Lidl about 10 mins walk from the apartments which is much cheaper for water and snacks etc. The mini markets are very expensive for water etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend these apartments to anyone.
The apartment is very comfortable. Huge living room/kitchen and semi private bedroom. The kitchen was great with a huge dining table for six. The shower stall is big. Plus - there’s a washing machine.
We had a nice stay here. Highly recommended who’d like to explore Prague old town. Walking distance to many attractions.

U Kapra was located in the heart of Old Town Square. Quick and easy walk to literally everything. The apartment was large, beautifully decorated and well stocked. Staff was very polite and helpful.
In the center of tourist activities
joseph q.family_with_childrenAug 11, 2024 Located at the center of the old town, all major amazing attraction sites are just minutes away. Inside the apartment is quiet, clean and spacious. We and our 2 kids really enjoyed staying there. The old issue is that if you have few luggage it's a bit of walk from Metro to the apartment, unless you use Uber or taxi.
Good if they can provide towels every day.
Great apartment for our family. Lots of space and you simply walk out the door to the old town square and shopping streets. Great central location for exploring Prague

Wonderful family of 5 visit to historic Prague. Place was clean, comfortable, spacious and in a great location for walking to a lot of sights. Very good communication and help with airport transfers. Note, there is no privacy there…open loft and two sofa beds. Would definitely staff again.
