Fantastic visit, warm welcome from the owners, comfortable room with nice clean em-suite. Breakfast was delicious and great value.
Secure off road parking, easy access to / from the town.
Pleasant walk was suggested by the owners, to enjoy the Pont de Briare, fantastic afternoon.
Very enjoyable stay, we left well rested and happy.
christine.partnerJun 26, 2022 The convenient location of the hotel near locaboat and the train station made it a perfect spot for us. It is also a nice walk to the aqueduct and restaurants. The owners were accommodating and welcoming.
The room was spacious and clean. The reception bar, breakfast/dinner meals were nice options.
No internet except in lobby bad there. Air conditioning shut of when window or door was opened.
We had a lovely stay. We were taking a bike trip and were shown a secure place to lock our bikes. There was also a very nice back garden for relaxing. I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for those cycling in the area.
road trip - great place to rest up
Great choice of 1 night stay en-route to Sancerre wine region. Interesting local area with waterways etc.

He recommended "Le Petit Saint Trop" - best restaurant of my trip in France: friendly staff & manager, English speaking, best "pavé' de saumon au beurre blanc"; ever; pleasantly surprised with this restaurant find given Briare is a small village. Briare is beautiful in Nov - hardly any tourist, fall color leaves lit like fire in the sunlight, canal water reflection, very relaxing.

Lovely warm welcome when we arrived to check in.
The room was very comfortable clean with a really good shower.
The news were very comfortable with beautifully clean and fresh bedding.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice as a buffet.
I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone stating in this area.
A place to stay while exploring some French canals

Nice hotel it was a shame the room could of been a bit bigger.it was rather cramped.
perfect location for us to stop en route to Paris. Basic hotel but fine for the evening. Small town - found dinner at a local festival. Only problem - needed wifi code and didn't get it at check in. Went downstairs and hostess was gone and had locked up for the night.

A lovely stay in Briare at Le Cerf.
Very close to city center. Friendly greeting. Parking in back of hotel. Carpet a bit old but ok. Clean room.
My 1st room wasn't cleaned when I checked in. Went back to the reception and got a new room which wasn't cleaned either. Went back to the reception and together with the receptionist entered a 3rd room which wasn't clean. I was offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience.
Did not stop at the hotel. Briare was not what we expected so we kept driving.
Good location, not far off the main autoroute.
I was looking for a stop over on the way south to Provence. The pottery factory at Gien was the motivation and I'm glad I picked Briare instead of Gien itself. The marina was nicer for getting meals and relaxing before going to bed. The room was clean and quite even thought it was on the main road into town. Parking was secure.
allowed to check in at 2pm - usual time 5pm!
we were let into the hotel before 2pm after ringing the bell but were told very firmly that the normal check in time was 5pm. quite surprised at this as it gets a four star rating on hotels.com. room on second (european) floor up two sets of very narrow stairs and no lift. hotel clean and bright, room large but with part of roof providing plenty of opportunities to hit your head when moving within the room. bathroom fine with full length bath but no window so we had to keep the door closed after use to avoid room becoming unbearably hot. late (9pm!) entry into hotel worked well and they provided a garage for our bikes. breakfast very nice with good tasting coffee and hot milk plus lots of variety including cheese and ham with scrummy pain au chocolat and croissants (but i was surprised to see the puppy was allowed to enter the kitchen at will during food preparation!) overall we enjoyed our stay and slept well. unusual for a logis de france the hotel doesn't have evening meal facilities although only a couple of minutes away there are several restaurants available down by the canal basin.
