  • Manjarabad Fort (25.50 km) - - A star fort built in 1792 by Tipu Sultan, using French military architects. Since it is located on a hill it gives a clear and commanding view of the surroundings.
  • Kenchamba Temple (2.40 km) - Located amidst greenery, this temple is in Alur taluk of Hassan district and is open for devotees on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
  • Gorur Dam (41.5 km) - Located at Gorur, near Hassan in Karnataka this 4,692 m long and 58.5 m high dam was constructed across Hemavathi River, in 1979. It sports a beautiful look, especially during the rainy season, when the spillway gates are let loose to release flooding waters, that gush out with full might like froths.
