Our stay was very comforable, the rooms are nice and spacious, the staff is courteous and warm. Food was very good, a bit expensive but. Should improve upon the toiletries supply.

Not the fern residency i knew a year back. Bathrooms are not in great shape. The complimentary breakfast quality has deteriorated over a period of time. The beds are not as clean as it used to be. The chairs are uncomfortable to work on a laptop. The dustbins are placed at the wrong place. The commodes are not clean properly when any guest vacates. It is only the location which is to their advantage

Ac was not working properly purse was missing from luggage under the hotel staffs custody irrespective of many requests they didnt do anything which can be considered helpful

Neat property, in good hands, managed well I usually go through reviews in detail (+ve or -ve) to learn more about the hotel and I was not disappointed even a bit. right from the security at the entrance to front office, the housekeeping, the service staff at the restaurant every body seemed perfect - they were doing their job like hardcore professionals but I won't call them hospitality professionals I prefer to call them Angels in the hospitality industry food was excellent suggestion by staff was helpful everyone tried to do their best to make you feel at home I might miss or forget names but every one deserves a thank you Shubhankar K and Burman Sir at front office 2 guys I forgot the names were great at food service and room service housekeeping seemed sober and caring I guess I am starting to like "The Fern" group it's not like इतने पैसे में इतना ही मिलेगा they take a step ahead

The rooms were good, but three things stood out, which made this review average. 1. Even though we ordered two soft drinks from the room, the same were never delivered. 2. One of us fell ill and could not go out of the room. We pleaded the staff to deliver a small amount of breakfast in the room, but the same was denied. 3. It is a well known fact and by the order of ncdrc that packaged drinking water should not be charged more than the mrp, and yet we were charged rs. 50- per 500 ml bottle in the final bill.

The property's location, amenities was very good. Food was a bit expensive in regard to quality. But service was not upto the mark. Some of the amenities which should have been automatically provided like toiletries, room slippers were provided only when asked for

Good rooms, disappointing service

Rooms are good but the service is extremely disappointing. I reached from kolkata at 8:30. I requested an early check in by 9:30 as i had an appointment by 10 so that i may change and freshen up after travel. To my surprise, the hotel flat out refused a check in earlier than 11 despite having vacant rooms. I was told it goes against the hotel policy for such bookings. When policy is overruling hospitality and cooperation of a hotel, the very purpose for which they exist. I do not see the problem in assisting a guest by providing a room for freshening up even if it is a little earlier than the check in time. Extremely disappointed with the front desk attitude. Clearly, this is not a hotel that can cater to business travellers arriving in asansol at any time other than precisely their check in time and god help anybody who requests such assistance.
