A disappointing stay

It was an unpleasant stay at himalayan cedar. The issues began right from the moment we checked in. Despite making an advance booking , we were assigned a corner room in the basement -2, which was suffocating and poor view. It was highly disappointing to see the disparity between the advertised rooms and the one we were given. When we requested a room change, we were informed that it would cost an additional 1000 bucks for an upgrade. This felt unfair and exploitative, especially since the original room was far from acceptable. Also, i had to pay an additional 600 bucks for breakfast buffet (which was deliberately not shown in the initial booking) for 2 adults and 1 5y kid. The poor service did not end there. The room service was consistently slow and unresponsive. Moreover, the hygiene and cleanliness standards in the hotel were severely lacking. The corridors were dirty and smelled unpleasant, adding to the overall discomfort of our stay. It was clear that proper maintenance and cleaning protocols were not being followed. Overall, my experience at himalayan cedar was far below expectations. The combination of poor room conditions, unhelpful service, and lack of cleanliness made for a very disappointing stay. I would not recommend this hotel to others, especially those considering booking as it appears that advance bookings are given less priority and poorer accommodations.

Overall experience was nice, food quality and room service is excellent, natural environment and location of hotel is perfect.

Very impressed with the cleanliness and location of this hotel but in case of service i think a little prompt service is required. Rest the food is very tasty, here also service issue. But we enjoyed our stay here. Thanks
