Location is nice and staffs are very co-operative. Breakfast was fine. I would suggest to add an egg dish or at-least a boiled egg also to the breakfast.

Medora hotel - a ghost of its previous self!

Earlier - a few years back, i used to be a regular guest of this property and had found it to be a good one for solo business traveller. I had booked this property, with a past experience. But to my horror, i found that there is nothing worth mentioning now in this property. The room condition was horrible. In the room, the electrical sockets and plug points have been removed and instead it is hollow now. The television in the room does not have any channel as the response one gets is that "you have not subscribed to this channel. Breakfast is another thing which i would like to forget. There is virtually nothing in the breakfast to mention about. And there are no staff to oversee what is finished and requires refilling. Even the spoon and fork is missing from the table. There is a live counter, but when asked what is being served, the response is - "sir, the chef is not there today, hence this is not working. The only plus that i want to add is about the check-out. That was done in a very quick and efficient manner. I think the front officer person wants the guests to leave the property at the earliest!

Disappointing stay: unkempt rooms and poor service at medora

My recent stay at medora in calicut was disappointing, to say the least. Upon arrival, i encountered cleanliness issues that necessitated a room change. The initial room was unkempt, with improperly washed blankets, indicating a lack of attention to hygiene standards. Moreover, despite staying with my family, we were provided with only one towel and one bar of soap, which was inadequate and inconvenient. This oversight reflects poorly on their service and attention to guest needs. The breakfast offered was also below expectations. The quality and variety were lacking, leaving much to be desired. It seemed evident that the establishment lacked enthusiasm and professionalism in maintaining its standards. Overall, i cannot recommend medora to fellow travelers visiting calicut. The subpar experience, coupled with the evident lack of commitment to hospitality, suggests that there are better options available in the area.

As per their amenities list, hot water facility mentioned. But during my stay it never worked even after complaining two times. It was quite bad experience during kerala's ice cold monsoon season

Room was good and clean. Closet top had lot of dirt on it. Ac was excellent. Teamaker, teabag, coffee powder, sugar available. One litter water was available. But, when i asked for 1 litter more they gave me and at checkout they charged me 35 rs for one litter. Breakfast was good but dont expect lot of variety. A simple breakfast

I was unable to open the door while check in, I called the receptionist and they helped and opened after 5 minutes. The room was decent but the beds were nasty. The canal of the bathroom wet area was not cleaned properly. Also, one of the sliding glass door was missing on the wet area LOL😅. Not worth.

When i reach the room after checked in, there were a lot of dust on the floor, after when i complaint to the front desk, a room service boy cleaned the room. There were parking facility, but when i reached, not get a place to park there. On night security arranged a parking there. Also restaurant service was not nice, some of their dishes was poor quality

Property location is good, walking distance to bus stand. Food is good but limited type as it seems restaurant is not in complete working condition. Staff is good.
