I had a pleasant stay at fern residency, chandigarh. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with modern amenities. The staff was courteous and attentive, ensuring a seamless experience. The restaurant served delicious food with a good variety in the buffet. Location-wise, it's convenient for both business and leisure travelers. A minor improvement could be faster room service, but overall, it was a great stay. Would recommend it for anyone visiting chandigarh"

Horrible hotel

Location: industrial area food: dinner was good. Chole and ajwain paratha. Breakfast spread is less. But you can order paratha. Which was good rooms: small compact room quality: horrible! stinking, dirty, bathroom had dripping water from ceiling. Huge ac is right on your head on the bed. Poor control. Not of fern hotel standard. More like a 1 star or 2 star. I will not recommend staying here. Price : i was crazy to pay 4400 for this lousy room

An interesting experience

I booked this hotel considering the brand name fern associated with this hotel. I was disappointed after seeing the hotel and room. I couldn’t find a single reason why 4 star rating is given to this hotel on ‘makemytrip’. In fact, it is not an exaggeration to say that this rating is mis leading and for my learning, fern follows a franchise based business model and therefore everything associated with fern need not to be perceived as best in class. Having said that, i believe that the food in the hotel was very good, i was very disappointed to see that people prefer to eat in their room instead of using restaurant. Bar is good with limited options. If i ignore that this is a fern hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a low budget short stay. Last but not the least, dinner as well as complementary breakfast was really tasty
