Location

The property is centrally located near the market area which is an added advantage. It has also a near by market for all your needs. The location of the guest house is too good as you can go in both directions for exploring Cherapunji. The place is great because of one guy who plays multiple roles. Handles reception cooks does room service. He is Bunkur. Though the owner looks little gruff Bunkur overwhelms you with his attentiveness and hospitality. Nice place to stay close to many spots of tourist interest. The dining facilities nearby are not that exciting but the property is close to the major waterfalls in the area and 15 mins drive will lead you to the 7 sister waterfalls and the Jiva resort.

Cleanliness

The rooms were clean and the property was maintained very clean. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and spacious. The guesthouse was clean and conveniently located. The room was bright and clean with large bathroom and relatively new furniture. The rooms including the bathroom was very clean. The property is located right next to highway and everything was clean and tidy.

Food & Dining

The food was delicious and had a home cooked taste to it. They serve good local food according to your liking and can arrange transportation and many tourism opportunities. The breakfast was yumm (Aloo parantha and poha). The only negative point I have is that I was unable to get warm water in the morning and couldn't get English movies due to a technical issue but apart from that I have no other qualms. Food is good with friendly staff. Try their Indian chicken potato and onion pakoda and fry maggie. We liked them best. Food price is reasonable. They arranged barbeque for us on terrace. It was very good. The breakfast served is again basic (options were bread butter jam aloo paratha and tea coffee). We had a few other snacks there which were again basic. We got parking inside for our self drive rental which was good. The owner is a friendly guy ready to help. Overall a good place to stay at Cherranpunjee.

Staff

The staff was extremely wonderful. The staff and the owner are very sweet and always ready to make you feel comfortable. The staff were helpful. They arranged a car for local sightseeing and also gave us a souvenir during checkout! The behavior of the staffs was not at all friendly. They don't know how to attend the customers. The staff and their service is really good. The staff is great and the response is also great. The staff and owners were top notch. Very friendly people who also provided me with valuable info/suggestion for my stay/travel.

Value for money

The rooms are very nice big clean and cozy. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and comfortable better than I expected and we had an absolutely amazing view out our window over the town. The rooms were super clean spotless. The rooms was also very big and spacious for 2 people. The rooms are good one. The room was clean and provided a good view. The room is nicely done up and my stay was extremely comfortable. The room were great and it had all the amenities like hot water towels tv chair table etc. The rooms was also very big and spacious for 2 people.
