we reached 2 hour early for that early checkin he asked to pay 500rs and he did not even allow us to use the washroom and after requesting him he allowed to use it but after that he gave the room to some other guests and did not let us use the rooms even thought the full amount and booked the room for the whole day

I was travel-ling to coorg with my family and i happened to book this homestay. The pictures that i saw were completely opposite to reality. The entire house is chipped, the owner hasn’t taken any effort to rectify the property. Refrigerator is i guess only for display as it is not in working condition. There are no knobs on the fan regulators in any room. The mattresses in the entire house seems like they haven’t been washed for decades. The dinning table cloth is torn, don’t know since when. There is absolutely no ventilation in the house. There are ‘n number of bugs crawling everywhere. We had booked it for 3 nights, but couldn’t even sleep one night. We had to check into another hotel immediately the next day. Nobody was able to sleep that night. My parents who are senior citizens also face a lot of issues regarding the same. We approached the owner regarding the issues, but he responded very rudely, he was very arrogant. His son though seemed to be polite but the owner was not. I will not be surprised if the owner responds rudely to this feedback, but it’s the fact. Also we reported it to an executive but we haven’t received our refund or any resolution yet.

The place is very good for family stay. If you are looking for just stay without any activities, this is the best place with reasonable cost. Owner is very friendly and it is very hygenic, building is little old, but maintained veer well, it is spacious enough to accommodate 5-6 people

It was a lot of people hanging out around my room, the owner caretaker came upstairs in the balcony to take off some item during our stay. The tv didn’t work, it only had limited channels. The door did not seem secure and was not evened out, so bugs got in easily. There was only a mini fridge in dining area which did not work. Curtains was hanging from broken fixtures, the dining table mat was tore, there complete leakage in the second bedroom, dustbins was not cleared every day. I will not recommend this place unless this is a very last resort. I don’t even know how they got 4. 5 out this rating. (rating board was displayed in the living arear. The picture which they have posted is not the actual image, may be this could be old pictures. The current shape of the homestay is very bad. I checked out one day prior my booking.

Best and affordable homestay. Value for money. Spacious and clean homestay with two rooms and hall kitchen setup. Best one to go if u need any in coorg.

The homestay was average. The main door was not closing properly there was a huge gap at the bottom. So was worried about security n the fans switches were all broken. It says 2 bathrooms but only one was functioning as the other was outside home.

Thanks to the house owner and family members, They were treated well and we enjoyed the home stay. The only thing needed to paint the rooms, And allow to use geysers when staying as families. Once again thank you for Kariyappa and Family 😊

This place is very good and close to all tourist places. The stay was peaceful. One of the best homestays i've visited! beautiful, peaceful location away from the crowded madikeri city. Rooms: very clean and tastefully done. They have the best view! food: i'd highly recommend the special home-made madikeri cuisine. But you'll have to order 24hrs in advance as the specials take a long time to prepare! but they're totally worth it. There's so much more to this place! the amazing location, rooms, view, food, etc. Are only one part. The best part.

Homestay is about 2. 7 kms from ksrtc bus stand. It's a 2bhk apartment but with only one bathroom and wc is installed inside it so it becomes difficult when more people are occupying it ( we were 5 people) celling fan speed is fixed and one can't make fan slow or fast. Refrigerator is there but as a showpiece. Shower also a showpiece with no water connection to it hot water was not avaliable and owner made arrangement of hot water by bringing it from ground floor.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at rajarajeshwari homestay, and i must say it was a complete letdown. From the lack of care and attention to the disrespectful behavior from the owner, my stay was marred by numerous issues that i feel compelled to share. Firstly, the lack of care and hospitality at rajarajeshwari homestay was evident from the very beginning. There was no effort made to ensure our comfort or even inquire about our food and beverage preferences. It is disappointing when a homestay fails to provide such basic amenities and fails to make guests feel welcome. Additionally, the owner's strict and unwarranted behavior, presumably due to their background as an army personnel, made our stay extremely uncomfortable. We had paid for two nights, but we were constantly reminded of the rules and regulations we had to abide by. This unnecessary rigidity created an unpleasant atmosphere and made us feel more like intruders than paying guests. Furthermore, the rude behavior exhibited by the owner towards our driver was completely uncalled for. Treating someone who is accompanying guests as a servant is highly disrespectful and unacceptable. This kind of behavior reflects poorly on the establishment and greatly diminishes the overall experience. Moreover, the owner's refusal to open the gates to allow us to park our 4-wheeler resulted in an unfortunate scratch on our car. This negligence and lack of concern for guests' vehicles is simply unacceptable. Additionally, being restricted to specific timings for removing the vehicle from the parking area further inconvenienced us unnecessarily. Lastly, the constant repetition of check out time seems to be asking us to leave the premise as soon as possible. Considering the numerous issues encountered during my stay, i am left with no choice but to give rajarajeshwari homestay a zero-star rating. The lack of care, the disrespectful behavior, and the overall negative experience make it impossible for me to recommend this homestay to anyone seeking a pleasant and welcoming stay. I sincerely hope that the management of rajarajeshwari homestay takes these concerns seriously and makes necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for future guests.

Stay was good, service also good. We booked an auto from madikeri bus stand to home stay, i took the auto driver phone number. When ever required, he used to come to pickup and drop. He charged 150rs. Owner provided milk, tea that was awesome for my kids and family members.
