We stayed for 3 nights in the same hotel although, now looking back, 2 nights are enough at Jaisalmer. Room offered was good with Jaisalmer look and feel, we liked it. However, there was no provision of any cupboard in the room and that was a big disappointment 😞 Food was tasty.. no issues.. However, there was no variation in morning breakfast and we got bored.. Same phoha and parathe on all days.. no fruit.. Location is excellent and you can see sunrise and sunset at their rooftop restaurant. Owners are helpful and will guide you on case of difficulties

Great location, good hospitality. Hotel manager ya-sin malik has been very helpful throughout our stay. His response time to emails/ clarifications was also quick. He also helped in planning visits to local sightseeing. Only space of improvement is that room curtains, covers on sofas and sitting need to be properly cleaned up time to time. Additionally, a pure vegetarian restaurant is just nearby desert dhani boys restaurant and another superb quality vegetarian only restaurant is shree jee (best known jaisalmer)

This hotel nestled into the heart of jaisalmer city is a stone’s throw away from the fort. The room was designed so beautifully and designed to reflect the culture. It has a great pool too and a restaurant at top which serves delectable food. It was so easy to get a guide from here who helped us traverse the city and the major attractions. The staff was extremely helpful and went out of the way to help us with quick laundry too.

Terrible Stay

1. Location - The so called hotel Tokyo Palace is in a basti type location in Jaisalmer with uncomfortable approach. No designated parking space Stayed for 1D2N in deluxe room with extra bed. We arrived very early in the morning and were offered a shared temporary room for resting, which was great hospitality. Checked in later in the day and safely stored our bags We absolutely cannot fault the service of this hotel. We arrived late and they stayed up for our arrival including the chef who made us a meal despite the restaurant being closed. We were only booked in for one night, A great hotel with very clean rooms in a super convenient location. The host and staff are very helpful and friendly. The roof top restaurant also serv 2. Room - The family suite room No 101 is spacious but the mattress quality is poor. You sink in if you sleep over it. The split AC in that room doesn't cool at all. Me and my family survived because the weather was conducive in March with fan complimenting to AC not cooling. To top it all, the batteries of AC remote were also breathing their last. This clearly indicates the poor level dedication and eye for detail by the hotel staff while preparing the room for arriving guests. There are no exhaust fans or ventilation arrangements in the bathroom making it smelly. The bath tub is present but not working. There are hangers places in the cupboard and they just offer two complimentary small water bottles for four guests staying in a family suite. There are NO LIFTS in this hotel. 3. Restaurant Service - The rooftop restaurant needs some serious service related revamping perhaps a professional and a dedicated restaurant manager. They will not offer you water at all on arrival or even during meals until you have asked for. The aloo paranthas on both the morning of my stay was half burnt and non-palatable. They don't have cornflakes or kids friendly breakfast items and very limited items to offer. This compelled me not have any major meals in the restaurant during my two night stay with my family. Overall, given the poor kind of stay for two nights with wife and two kids in family suite (Room No 101) having faulty AC with very poor cooling, poor quality mattress, smelly bathroom with no exhaust fan and burnt breakfast, the stay was definitely not worth for two nights with complimentary breakfast. There are definitely more better quality properties to stay put than HOTEL TOKYO PALACE in Jaisalmer. Rooms: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Location: 1/5

Room is good. No phone / intercom was available in my room for contacting reception. No kettle in room. Nearer to fort. Dinner preparation take 30 minutes in roof top restaurant. Otherwise all others are good. Good hotel to stay.

Poor Stay

Over priced. Restaurant is not equipped to handle more than 5 customers together. Breakfast has fixed menu of poha and paratha. Owner is rude, has occupied whole restaurant for him and his friends, leaving all other customers waiting for food forever. Rooms are okayish, not worth the money spent.

Not that good. Restaurant and breakfast needs to be severely improved. Services in restaurant are very poor and the manager at restaurant is very bad. Reception person is very nice.

The facilities mentioned are not there. Bathtub are not there. Breakfast is not upto mark. Restaurant is not serving properly and the staff has rude behavior. Person at reception was nice and has good hospitality. Swimming pool was dirty and very bad. Overall exp is just ok.

The location is in the city, near to the fort. There was a slight mix up for check in. We requested for early check in around 9. 30 am but rooms were not ready yet so we went for sightseeing. Later when we returned at 1. 30 pm, there was still a delay, so the hotel upgraded us. The rooftop restaurant has amazing food and the view in the night is amazing

Worst management. Not safe don't cancel no refund and refuse to give room on 1 am night. I was ready to sleep on sofa but they refused. And i'm on road in winter am night

Worst hotel in jaiselmer

I am an amid traveller but tokyo palace was the worst hotel i have ever seen. They had pathetic kitchen and we were served half cooked chicken twice in two days and when i objected, first they offered discount and later they said chicken supply is not good. We had even pathetic experience with veg food, their dal tadka and mix veg was smelling as well. They don't have basic courtesy for guests. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel in peak season as they don't have the manpower and kitchen staff to handle the volume.
