Impressed by the courteous staff. Rooms and bathrooms are not dirty but linen on bed and in bathroom could be cleaner and smell fresher. Electric kettle in room also needs to be cleaned between guests (tea/coffee stains on its outside. Add on facilities, such as tea, toiletries and laundry, as promised. Well-located property.

apart from mr shyamaldas who i believe happens to be the housekeeping manager, nothing is good in this hotel.... i booked for 2 nights... the first room we were given had broken flush tap and was covered in spiderwebs in all nook and corners.... the lady at the reception unwillingly agreed for the change upon asking.... she was making faces as if we asked something that we were not entitled to... however, to our dismay... the next room had entire wall panel opened in the bathroom as shown in the picture which could allow rats or insects play in the room at night clearly making it dangerous to stay in... we asked to either change the room or cancel our booking thinking we will finally get a proper room to stay in. they again unwillingly agreed to it and gave us another room which looked ok at first glance and we moved in... but as stated above... nothing works here....after a few hours when i tried calling in, intercom was not working... doors were jammed too.. had mr shyamaldas not been there to help with everything with a broad smile... we would have left after day 1....

I have been staying in samilton since very early days. The property is located in the heart of the city having a great ambiance. Hygiene is up to the mark, rooms are very well maintained with the latest gadgets, hi - tea served in the morning is awesome, wifi is good with decent speed, staff are very cordial and cooperative. Experience would be incomplete without mentioning the name of rupa madam in the house keeping for extending the gesture in ensuring that rooms are made perfect. Also, farheen at the front desk is very supportive. Breakfast spread is wonderful and the hospitality extended makes the breakfast enjoyable with tasty dishes. Looking forward to staying in samilton during my next visit & would recommend the hotel to all my friends & colleagues.

Bed linen was dirty, and had bad smell on it. Rest was ok. Can’t expect more from what they charge.

I stayed for three days and had an average experience overall. The accommodations were decent, but the highlight was the staff, who were friendly and helpful. The food was okay, but it was disappointing to find that the menu remained the same each day. While the flavors were acceptable, the lack of variety made meals feel repetitive. Additionally, i noticed a hole in the chickpea sprout during one of my meals, which was off-putting. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, but improvements in the dining experience would enhance the overall visit.

Located at surat bose road in a prime location in south calcutta - but main issue is lack of noise dampening inside the rooms. The rooms aren’t large either given the price. Staff were courteous.

Centrally & thus conveniently located property well maintained. Neat, clean and with utmost care to hygiene. All the staff are very supportive. Decent wi - fi. The buffet breakfast spread is good with ample options, the taste is good & the ambience is very nice. I have been staying in this hotel for years & looking forward to visiting again. I would surely recommend this property to all my colleagues & friends.

It was an average stay. Room was cozy and clean however room service is worst they were taking time to deliver 1 hr for 1 bottle water and coffee. Breakfast menu is limited and you can choose only 1 item within the menu.
