This was my 3rd visit at gujarat bhavan. Food was simply superb as usual. The pool is amazing and the staff is very courteous and helpful.

Location is good. Not very far from matheran railway station. Also you can walk down to many points close to hotel. However room and toilet upkeep not good. Can be improved a lot. Washbasin was choking. Food plan chosen was inclusive of breakfast lunch and dinner. Quantity was unlimited. Quality was ok.

I stayed there with my family. The hotel is well maintained and rooms are also neat and clean. Everything at the hotel was good but the best part was the food. They have amazing food variety, quality and taste as well.

It's plus point that location is near e co point, sarlote lake. Ambience is good. All staff is trustwothy. But insects, ants are there. Very less cleanliness. It's required to renovate suits, bathrooms according to today's technology & service. Very high charges according to service & accomodation. Management is asking for paid amount also. Feel little confused about vibes. Mixer of family & commercial. For one night stay, it's ok. On second day they are not providing water bottles, towels, cleaning themselves.

The place is same since it has started the only change is too much masala in the food. Courteous staff, decent place to stay and yes… because of a huge garden and a decent swimming pool kids are busy…

Positives : the hotel location is easily accessible from market. The property is navigation-ally easy. The swimming pool is well maintained. The food experience was good all through the day. Negatives : the tariff for deluxe room for four people is comparatively very high as compared to other hotels in matheran. The room a/c was not maintained with swing broken so had to keep it off through the night. The plastic furniture in balcony was dusty and not wiped. The shower partition was broken at places, which was hazardous. The post checkin room setup was not to the mark, with no cold water bottles, no bath towels in bathroom. The swimming pool is too deep for leisure purpose. 6 feet deep should be cordoned off as small kids enioy the water.

Very good for kids. Big play area and swimming pool. Food is very good, both lunch and dinner. Gives a good rustic feeling. Rooms are ok. Beds are ok, old rooms - can make it better. Staff is courteous.

Hotel is quite big having olympic size swimming pool. Service is very nice. Staff is polite and helpful. Garden is also maintained. No words to explain food. Quality and hygiene is well care of. Taste is good and also variety. This was my 2nd visit and next visit at matheran also be at gujarat bhavan only.

The food at gujrat bhavan was great. And the staff too was polite and caring. The ax deluxe room was quite basic, not well lighted. The bedspread was not clean. Basic amenities of a deluxe room, such as electric kettle were missing. Won't recommend for stay.

Overall it was a pleasant experience. The hotel is nicely maintained with good rooms. Hotel staff is very supportive & cooperative. Hotel has good proximity to matheran railway station, market, & sightseeing points. They have good outdoor games & garden. Pool area is also nicely maintained. Food is awesome, saturday night dinner spread is fabulous. One suggestion - they can improve on lunch spread. The food is tasty, it would be nice if there is some more variety.
