Its a 4 star hotel but washroom situation is very pathetic. Its not clean and not hygiene. Bicket and mug look like very dirty.

Very near to railway station. Ideal for business travellers. Room size is small comparing with prices they are charging. Ambience is good. Food no great options available for break fast.

Nice Hotel in Ottapalam

Things went sour from the minute we arrived to check-in at the hotel. We came by car with a private driver. We were told that the hotel doesn't have a driver's cabin to accommodate drivers who come along with hotel guests. We never had faced this problem and hence didn't expect this at all. Here, we were asked to book a separate room for our driver upon arrival and they only had a non AC double bedroom to offer at their standard rates (Next morning at 6 am, we called the reception to order milk for our toddler. Pat came the reply our kitchen opens only at 7:30 am. We had to sulk and wait it out. A few of the staff were very courteous. But for some reason the hotel manager seems to walk about without any cheerfulness or concern about the hotel guests. (at least on the two days we were there. ) after checking out, we went to the restaurant Darbar to eat. Local guests who came in after us were all served while we were kept waiting for a long time even after repeated requests. We couldn't take it longer and walked out after informing the receptionist. There were a few positives though clean room, good WiFi connection, ample car Park spaces. One person was kind enough to arrange milk for our toddler at 6:30 AM on the second day. We thank him for his service.
When we checked in, we couldn't get hot water to take Bath. We were told that hot water is available only in the mornings.

Small rooms

While the hotel is well kept and is clean, the rooms are extremely small and bathroom size is just big enough to fit an average size person. Breakfast has very limited options. Overall not really worth the money spent.
