Not value for the money, breakfast was also not good. Don’t have car parking and no valet parking.

Awesome stay. The staff is great. I interacted a lot with prabhu, jemima rukhsar. One of the nicest people i met. One suggestion for the breakfast menu they can expand the options for food. That is bit disappointing to have same menu when u stay for more than a day.

The hotel is classic and it may noted that it is not a normal hotel in the sense that it has a history of nearly 200 years and this french mayor residence has been restored and you can feel & experience the antique furniture and furnishings. Some shortcoming can be ignored and enjoy the stay. The staff especially mr prabhu is helpful in giving tips on places of interest and guide on various activities in pondy. Some areas needs attention of the management like dinning staff, who it seems need proper grooming and refresh training in order to be more customer oriented.

The hotel was really good and especially the staff were really helpful. Everything was presented very well and the check in and check outs were also very smooth. If you are looking for a place which is quiet and beautiful, i would highly recommend.

Very good stay, staff took care of everything. Housekeeping was great, especially ms. Padmini. Great support by jebby and prabhu at the reception. Loved the penthouse room. Would be great if you would allow pets as well. Will be back again soon!

Le duple-ix pondicherry

The property is a wonderful piece of architecture, but that is where the grandeur ends. Check-in : checked-in nearly an hour past the check-in time of 3pm and yet the room was not ready. Was asked to wait for a further 5 mins. In india, this could be any number between 5 and 55. I booked a penthouse, but on account of there not being lifts, was offered a suite on the ground floor to avoid climbing up the stairs. Stuck to my room choice. Arrived to find the room being mopped, and cleaned which tells me they never really intend to host anyone in those rooms. The next 2 days were a set of disappointments overall. 1. No water pressure - water flows so slowly that a shower takes neay 30 mins. Despite being told they would turn on a pump, no change. 2. Breakfast - 2 options - the buffet at the sister hotel is better but marred by poor service. The ala-carte breakfast at the le duple-ix is marginally acceptable with a bunch of options on their own menu being unavailable (no idli, no cheese, no granola) despite being listed. Noise - work is going on in the property next door and one needs to put up with a constant thundering of drilling, hammering, knocking. Insects - mosquitoes about aplenty and one needs to resort to using a repellent device to keep them away. In-room safe - the safes are not bolted to the wall or the cupboard. I could easily lift my safe and carry it across the room. In the room i was changed to, it was locked by default and despite being informed, no effort was made to open it. Check-out - despite all of these complaints, and poor service, they hassled me at 11am to ask if i was ready to have my bags collected.

We had a wonderful experience staying there, it is property which will take you back in time. We have added breakfast to our package and they gave options for in-house breakfast or a breakfast buffet at the partner hotel promenade which is just 300mts away, and the breakfast at promenade was amazing

Its 150 years old property right in the middle of white town..walkable to beach..we had breakfast at promonade which is their sister concern at the beach it was amazing…since we booked on sunday checkin due to availability they upgraded my room from deluxe to suite with no cost..the rooms was simply superb…i will definetly recommend this property..people takes pictures with this property it was that good..staff is very helpful always there for gelp..

It was a very good experience. Very helpful and supportive staff, great location and amazing food. They have inhouse live music in the evening which is makes it all the more better. Could'nt find anything where i could score them less than 5.

Most pathetic hotel in

The room was too cramped and dirty. The sheets which were put above the bed had stains. The toilets were very bad. The taps and the shower nozzle in the toilets were rusted and it wasn't even working properly. The hand shower nozzle was blocked and smelly. The western closet was wobbly and appeared to be very old. Because of the water overflow, the rooms started to smell. The rooms had mosquitoes. The alacarte breakfast they gave was just a name sake and was very bad. The staff in front office appeared to be unqualified and lost. The experience was so bad that we vacated the rooms 14 hrs before our actual check out time. For the amount we paid for the rooms, it was absolutely a waste and a scam. I'm also planning go legally against the resort for their dereliction in service water just leaked everywhere in the toilet.

A good heritage structure, we were allotted a room on 3rd ie top floor. There is no lift so one has to climb stairs. Rooms on 3rd floor are not sound proof, we had a noisy crowd in adjoining room which was a problem. Bed are heritage style but at a good height so you need to use the small stool they have in room to get on the bed (not senior citizen friendly. Hot water was available from tap in bathtub but not in shower. Location is nice in whitetown, restaurant is good with decent vegetarian options for breakfast and dinner. Had live music for 2 nights. Overall rooms can be better and beds lower height from floor.

I spent a weekend with my wife and son of 4 years in march'24 at le dupleix. The location is perfect to access most things by walk. The hotel is also well equipped with friendly staff, and a wonderful breakfast. I will be going back here again!

One of the best heritage type of stay in pondicherry white town area. 10/10 in service, clealiness, food and ambience. Special thanks to simran, ashwati and tanya and the other staff members for their kindness and humbleness. Hope to visit again.

The location and property was exceptional. The food served was exceptional and great tasting. Though the room service takes time. It was worth the wait. It's the room which was problematic. There was leakage issue in room no. 1 in the toilet. There was water dripping from the top. We stayed there only for a day and checked out.

Not worth for the rates. So much of mosquitoes inside room. No swimming pool exits as shown in photos of the property. Ac doesn't cool the room. Fridge not working, not repaired even after informing food was good & staff were good (front desk & restaurant both)

The property is located in white town and near to the beach at a walkable distance. The property is old french mayor house and has antique rooms and each room has a different style and design which is unique to this place. It also has a 150 year old mango tree.

The room was great! the total ambience of the resort was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the breakfast was top notch and the resort was situated in white town which made the stay even more beautiful
